A sophisticated new piece of robotic surgery technology was recently installed at Pella Regional Health Center. The da Vinci Si allows for the movements of a surgeon’s hands to be more precise and is designed to benefit patients by minimizing the invasiveness of surgery. The equipment can be used for a multitude of gynecologic, urologic and general surgical procedures, and will also help with the efficiency of procedures as well.

Bob Kroese, CEO at Pella Regional Health Center, says they’re excited about the new surgical technology, which he says will benefit patients by being less painful and will result in fewer complications from surgery, which could translate to shorter hospital stays and a faster return to daily activities. The da Vinci Si was installed at Pella Regional on March 26th.
