Pella’s First Baptist Church is sponsoring a screening Friday night of a film that was the #1 documentary in America in 2008. “Expelled” – starring Ben Stein of “Ferris Bueller’s Day Off”, among other on-screen credits – presents a look at intelligent design in education settings and questions why the theory has been mostly dismissed in academia, while Darwinism and the theory of evolution has been more widely accepted and taught.

Stein interviews scientists of various religious backgrounds as they explore the possibility that the universe may show indications of intelligent design. The documentary “Expelled” will be shown, free of charge, at 7:00 p.m. Friday night at the Pella Community Center Auditorium.
