Despite initial plans to have adjourned last Thursday, the Iowa Legislative session has carried over into this week, and lawmakers appear to have at least a day or two of work ahead of them. Republican Representative Jim Van Engelenhoven of Pella says as he looks back on what has occurred so far in the session, he would like to have seen lawmakers make a more concentrated effort to spend less money, and says he is concerned that some legislators don’t seem to realize that the money being spent belongs to taxpayers.
