The Pleasantville boys had nine of their games this season decided by three points or less. The Trojans were a respectable 5-4 in those games. However, Coach Tom Wilkins says the four losses taught the players several lessons in finishing a game. He says one example is Hunter Van Halen who missed a couple of free throws in one of those early games, but took advantage of a last second shot to beat Lenox later on in the season. Wilkens says if the players learn from those close loses, they will be a much better team next season.
