The Marion County Board of Supervisors approved the expenditures for a storm siren in Attica at their meeting Monday. The county received funds in late 2009 from Rebuild Iowa for a project that must be completed by June 30th. Emergency Management Coordinator Jeff Anderson says he has been working with trustees in Indiana township who has three projects they hope to work on in the near future and the installation of the storm siren is the only one that could be completed by the June Deadline. The county will not transfer $18,173 for the project and the rest of the $25,000 from Rebuild Iowa will be used to rebuild the fire station and build a bus station for students in the future.
