Wednesday is the deadline to file for county offices for the upcoming election. The positions of Treasurer, Recorder, County Attorney and one Board of Supervisors position will be up for election this November. The primary election will take place June 8th, but those who are interested must turn in their papers to the Marion County Auditor’s office by 4:30pm March 31st. To file, individuals must turn in a nomination petition with a minimum of 100 signatures, an affidavit of candidacy that is signed and notarized and declare if they plan to enter the Republican or Democratic primary.
