The 2010 Pella Tulip Time Queen and Royal Court visited both chambers of the Iowa Legislature last week. The young ladies were guests of State Representative Jim Van Engelenhoven of Pella and State Senator Paul McKinley of Chariton on Thursday. Queen Heidi Schulte and her court brought Dutch pastries for their many hosts at the statehouse, and invited all of them to visit Pella for this year’s 75th Annual Tulip Festival on May 6th, 7th and 8th.
