The Pella girls soccer team took part in the Urbandale Girls’ Soccer Tournament Saturday, which pitted the Lady Dutch against the No. 1 and No. 2-ranked teams in Class 2-A; Ankeny and Urbandale. The two powerhouses handed Pella a pair of losses – 3-0 and 2-0 on the day. Despite valiant defensive efforts in both matches, the Hawkettes and the Lady Jayhawks controlled dominated the time of possession, with Pella getting completely shut out offensively in both contests. The Pella girls are now 1-3 overall this season and remain at 1-1 in the Little Hawkeye Conference.
