The Central College women’s and men’s track and field teams will host at least 13 teams today for the Central Invitational. A mix of teams from Iowa Conference colleges, NAIA schools, community colleges and state universities will compete in the meet, including the University of Iowa, Northern Iowa, Drake, Coe and Gustavus Adolphus, among others.

Last year the Central men placed 3rd out of the 18-team field in their home meet, while the women finished 6th out of 17 teams. Today’s meet starts with the 10,000-meter run at 10:00 a.m., with the field events beginning at 11:00 a.m. at Ron and Joyce Schipper Stadium in Pella.
