Despite a split in last Saturday’s doubleheader with Iowa Conference rival Coe College, the Central College softball team continued its climb in the NFCA Division III softball rankings. With a record of 15-6, the Dutch are now No. 6 in the national poll.

Fellow Iowa Conference foe Luther College shares the No. 9 spot in the rankings with Augustana (Illinois), while Coe dropped out of the poll after being ranked 24th. At 29-1, Louisiana College remains the unanimous No. 1.

The Central softball team hosts Loras College today in an Iowa Conference doubleheader, starting at 3:00 p.m. at the A.N. Kuyper Athletics Complex in Pella.
