Several personal best performances highlighted the Central College Track and Field teams’ weekend at the highly-competitive Jim Duncan Invitational at Drake University in Des Moines. On Friday, standout Kurtis Brondyke won the javelin throw for the second consecutive week, with a 184 foot 4 inch launch, which is the best in the Iowa Conference this season and ranks fourth on Central’s all-time list.

Saturday’s highlights included a personal record 25.27 second 200 meter dash for Felicia Coleman, putting her seventh on Central’s all-time list and just missing the NCAA provisional mark by two-hundredths of a second. Coleman placed sixth in that event, and was also a member of the Dutch 4×100 meter relay team that placed sixth.

On the men’s side on Saturday, Kyle Wood placed second in the 400 meter dash and was a member of 4×100 and 4×400 meter relay teams that placed second and fifth, respectively.
