Both teams from Wisconsin Eau-Claire dominated the first round of play in the Central women’s golf team’s Spring Invitational, with the Dutch holding onto third place in the team standings through the first 18 holes. The Bluegolds hold the top six individual places, with Central’s Eva Downes in a tie for seventh. As a team, the Dutch shot a 383 in the first round, with Wisconsin-Eau Claire well out in front with a 328, and their Gold squad in second with 348. Simpson College is in fourth place with a 390, and the Central White squad is in fifth after carding a 415. The 36-hole tournament concludes today at the Bos Landen Golf Club in Pella.
