Following Tuesday triangular at South Tama, the Pella Christian boys golf team has nearly a week of rest and practice before returning to the Tama-Toledo Country Club for the Little Hawkeye Conference Tournament. Eagles’ Head Coach Dan Branderhorst says his team has reached a point in the season where its hard to see progress every day, so the team is doing different things during their practice time to create new challenges.

“During practices we try to mix up our activities a little bit,” says Branderhorst. “For example, we’re having different chipping and putting contests, we’re having different contests on the driving range – trying to keep that competitive edge there so they’re competitive for the tournaments. We’ve also had the chance to videotape the swings of our varsity guys, because sometimes you really can’t see what you’re doing [wrong] until you watch it yourself.”

The Pella Christian boys golf team joins the rest of the conference at the Little Hawkeye Conference tournament on Monday, May 3rd in Tama.
