Gladys Black to Be Remembered in Pleasantville Tonight

Authors of “Gladys Black: The Legacy of Iowa’s Bird Lady” will host an event remembering the Pleasantville woman this evening. Authors Larry Stone and Jon Stravers tell the story of the late Gladys Black of Pleasantville who was known throughout the state as an educator, bird expert and environmental activist. Stone will present a program about Gladys Black at the Pleasantville Library, located at 301 West Dallas Street, on Wednesday at 7pm. The event is free and open to the public.
