Knoxville Fire and Rescue, Knoxville Rural Fire Department and Marion County Sheriff’s Office responded to reports of a grassfire at the 1700 block of 175th Place at approximately 4:15pm Monday. The owner of the property was burning a restored prairie when the fire got out of hand. The fire was under control in approximately 1 hour. A few hours later, Clay Township Fire Department and Knoxville Rural Fire Department was paged to a nearby location at the 1900 block of highway 92 for another grassfire, which was extinguished within approximately 30 minutes.
