Ground Breaking for Marion County Walk of Pride
Posted By news On April 6, 2010 @ 6:20 am In Today’s Local News | Comments Disabled
Marion County 4-H members, their family and supporters broke ground this morning for a new walkway near Dyer-Hudson Hall. Dozens of people gathered around 9am this morning for the initial steps of installation of a 240 food long walk way to be titled the “Marion County Walk of Pride”. The walk way is inspired by the Pella Plaza and is designed to enhance the area for community events. The goal is to have the walk way completed in time for the 50th anniversary of the Knoxville Nationals in August. Personalized bricks for the walk way are available for $75 each and help support the 4-H foundation. More information on purchasing a brick can is available at the Farm Bureau Office, Extension Office and Iowa State Savings Bank.
