The city of Pella will be flushing the community’s water main system this week. The system is flushed twice a year – in the spring and fall – as a preventative maintenance activity that clears out build-up and circulates water in dead-end mains. As a result, residents may experience disruptions and cloudy water in their homes. If possible, residents are suggested to avoid washing laundry, particularly whites, during this time. Should cloudy water discolor your clothing, the Pella Public Works Office has an additive available at no cost that will help remove discoloration.
