Knoxville will open its girls golf season with a trip to Albia today. The Panthers will play Chariton and Oskaloosa along with the host Demons. Coach Kyle Kincaid says with several new faces playing varsity this season he is not so concerned how high or low scores will be. He says the goal for the girls is to shoot as low as they can but more importantly…staying out of trouble on the course and not taking too many penalty strokes. Kincaid’s top two are pretty solid in Matti Holmes and Lane Rose. After that…he says three-through-six is still up for grabs. He adds today’s meet in Albia along with more time in practice this week will go a long way to deciding three through six on varsity.
