Athletes from Pella and Knoxville High Schools will conclude high school competition at the Drake Relays in Des Moines Saturday. Both schools have teams competing in the boys 4×800 Meter Relay – which will each run shortly after 11:00 a.m. Saturday morning – and Pella High School’s Zach Wittenberg will run the 1600 Meters.

Additionally, 4×400 Meter Relay teams for the Pella girls and Knoxville boys will also run in Saturday’s finals after making the top eight during Friday’s qualifying runs. The Pella girls set a new school record with their qualifying time of 4:03:54. In all, area athletes qualified for 14 events at the 101st Drake Relays.
