Former Pella and Drake basketball standout Klayton Korver will be in Pella later today conducting a fundraiser at Sports Page Sporting Goods for the Kyle Korver Foundation. The organization works to inspire inner city kids and help families in need in the Salt Lake City, Utah, area where Kyle currently lives and plays for the NBA’s Utah Jazz. Klayton Korver will be in Pella promoting and selling t-shirts which are part of the foundations SEER clothing line which he says carry inspirational messages close to the Korver’s heart inspired by inner city kids in the Philadelphia area where Kyle started his NBA career.[simage=2022,200,y,right]
Korver says anyone who buys a shirt today will receive a signed picture of Kyle, and a raffle ticket. The raffle winner will receive a signed Kyle Korver #26 Utah Jazz jersey along with a signed pair of shoes worn by Kyle. All proceeds from the shirt sales go directly to the Kyle Korver foundation and help continue the work of helping families in need.
Klayton Korver will be at Sports Page Sporting Goods located on the west edge of Pella in the Wal Mart plaza conducting the fundraiser from 3:30-8pm today. In related news, last night the Utah Jazz ended the regular season on a down note falling to Phoenix 100-86. Korver, however etched his name in NBA history leading the NBA this season in three point shooting percentage connecting on 59-110 attempts for 53.6% and he became the all time NBA leader for single season three point percentage surpassing Steve Kerr’s 52.4% set in 1994-1995. The Jazz head to Denver to open the playoffs this weekend.
