Mercy Medical Center of Des Moines will be making a donation of AEDs to the county next week. Representatives from Mercy and the Iowa Heart Foundation will arrive via Mercy One helicopter at the Knoxville Airport around 1:15pm Monday, where they will be donating Automatic External Defibrillators to the Sheriff’s Office for use in patrol cars. Members of the Marion County Sheriff’s Office, Knoxville Fire and Rescue and Pleasantville Fire Department will welcome the helicopter and hospital and foundation representatives. In addition, the public is also invited to see the helicopter land at the Knoxville Hospital and Clinics at 12:45pm Monday and tour the chopper.
