One person was transported to the hospital following a two-vehicle accident Monday morning on the west side of Pella. The accident occurred at approximately 8:52 a.m. when a northbound vehicle collided with the rear end of another vehicle on Washington Street near the Highway 163 interchange.

The driver of the second vehicle was transported by Pella Ambulance to Pella Regional Health Center complaining of neck pain. The driver of the first vehicle was not injured. The Pella Police Department, Pella Fire Department and Iowa State Patrol assisted at the scene.
