After last week’s four-team meet at Ottumwa and an 11-team weekend tournament at Oskaloosa, the Pella girls golf team will keep things simple today when they visit Newton for a dual meet. One advantage for the Lady Dutch today will be the guidance of assistant coach Kaurie Kincaid. Just a year removed from playing many of the same courses as a member of the Knoxville girls team, Kincaid has been able to provide insight for the Pella girls on several courses in the Little Hawkeye Conference, including Newton.

“It’s nice to be able to go to courses and have that insight for the girls – whatever I can do to help,” said Kincaid. “They have a few questions, but they can pretty much handle it themselves. But I try to step in if they have any questions, so it’s nice to have that experience.”

Kincaid is currently a freshman at Central College. After today’s head-to-head with Newton, the Pella girls golf team will close out the week on Thursday with a tournament hosted by PCM.
