Tanner Peterson’s penalty kick four minutes into overtime pushed Knoxville over South Tama last night in boys soccer 3-2. The Panthers found themselves down at halftime, but two goals within a minute of each other by Jason Ryan and Dylan Schrader gave Knoxville the lead. A goal by South Tama forced overtime when Peterson came in with his heroics. Coach Jon Smith said once the intensity was raised, the team played better. Knoxville moves to 2-3 on the season and 1-1 in Little Hawkeye Conference play.
