The Pleasantville High School Concert Band recently returned from a very successful trip to the lone star state. The bi-annual trip took students and chaperones to San Antonio, Texas where they performed at the Alamo Festival of Music on April 9th. The high school concert band received a Superior rating from all three adjudicators in the festival and earned the Outstanding in Class Trophy. Band Director John Turnage tells KNIA/KRLS news he is “very proud of his students’ performance but equally as proud of how well they represented Pleasantville High School during the entire trip”. The band raised the entire amount necessary to take the trip this year through various fundraisers.
