Pleasantville looks to win a Pride of Iowa Conference girls golf title this season and make the state meet. Coach Dan Calhoun says the strength of the conference will come from the western division of the P-O-I-C as in Mount Ayr and Nodaway Valley. He adds the Pride of Iowa Conference is always one of the best small school golf conferences around. As far as the state tournament is concerned it may be a slightly tougher road to the state course as the Trojanns this season look to be in class 2A. According to the Iowa High School Girls Athletic Union, the tentative classifications has Pleasantville as a 2A school. Last year the Trojanns competed in class one-A and missed the state tournament by five shots.
