A social services organization, currently based out of Des Moines has plans to open a new office in Knoxville. Lifeline Resources is an organization that was founded in 2006 and provides various remedial services.
Lucas Sampson, current Lifeline Family Coach, grew up in Pella, and tells KNIA/KRLS that the organization began approximately 3.5 years ago with 8 employees and has grown exponentially to over 150 employees in the Des Moines area serving more than 1,000 youth. He says they are looking into opening an office to serve the Knoxville/Pella/Oskaloosa area and have met with Mayor Don Zoutte, Police Chief Dan Losada and members of the Chamber of Commerce about expanding to Marion County. Sampson says Lifeline employees provide a high quality of work, are passionate about their clients, and committed to their jobs. He adds that the organization focuses on their client’s basic needs first and is able to help them through partnerships with the food bank of Iowa and Clothing closet, and plans to continue similar services in the Knoxville area.
Lifeline plans to hold an introduction picnic at Auld Park on Saturday May 15th. The event will have a variety of games and food available as Life-line their organization to the Knoxville community. The event begins at 11am and all community members are invited to attend and find out more about the organization.
