A total of 13 students from Pella Christian and Pella Community High Schools will compete in the National History Day competition at the state level on Monday, after receiving high marks for their projects in March’s District competition at Central College. Of the 41 students from Pella Christian High School that submitted projects, 12 are competing in Monday’s event, while the lone representative from Pella Community High School also advanced to the State Senior Division competition; which will be held at the State Historical Building in Des Moines.
