Today is Administrative Professional’s Day, which highlights a week of recognition for members of the administrative workforce that play a vital role in their company’s success. Vince Newendorp, Vice President of Administration at Vermeer Corporation in Pella, offered words of praise and thanks for the many administrative professionals in various departments at Vermeer.

“This week we celebrate some very special Vermeer employees during Administrative Professional’s Week. The role of the administrative professional has changed over the years, but today – maybe more than ever – a skilled administrative professional is invaluable, and is regarded as a key contributor to the success of Vermeer Corporation,” said Newendorp.

“From handling calendars to organizing presentations and keeping us on task, administrative professionals could be considered the polish that helps Vermeer shine – and they do it with smiles on their faces because they enjoy the work and the challenges it offers. Thank you to all of the Vermeer administrative professionals this week – and every week – for your dedication, thoughtfulness, and the daily support you give. It is very much appreciated.”

Originally called Secretaries Day, Administrative Professionals’s Day has been observed since 1952, and is one of the largest observed days in the workplace outside of birthdays and major holidays.
