In light of news of the reorganization of services at the Knoxville Department of Human Services Mayor Don Zoutte is encouraging residents to have their voices heard. During his monthly Coffee with the Mayor Thursday, Zoutte updated attendees about the questionable future of the DHS office in Knoxville and the costs that would be pushed onto the county if things were reorganized. The mayor encourages residents to contact DHS director Charles Krogmeier and let him know how detrimental this could be to Marion County. Krogmeier can be reached at 515-281-5452 or by mail at Hoover State Office Building, 1305 E. Walnut Street, Des Moines, Iowa 50319.
