The Iowa High School Girls Athletic Union has finalized the class one-A girls State Track and Field qualifiers. Following a timing discreptency over the weekend the official list has been released and ten individuals and events have now qualified. From Twin Cedars Lindsay Hoehns is in the 400, high jump, and long jump. Alya Crosby has qualified in the 100 and 200, and the Sabers Sprint Medley relay team is also a qualifier. Coach Dennis Verploeg knew Crosby would be a good athlete just watching her in basketball this past season, but he has been pleasantly surprised to find out how good she is at track and field. From Melcher-Dallas, Delaney Jensen will run the 800 and 1500 while older sister Taylor will run in the 3000. The Saints have also qualified in the distance medley relay.
