The Central College baseball team returns to the Iowa Conference tournament Thursday, with a 1:00 p.m. match-up with Luther College. The Dutch are the No. 3 seed, while the Norse are seeded sixth. Central carries a best-ever 27-12 record into the tourney, while Luther is 24-16.

The Dutch swept three games from the Norse in Pella earlier this season, but Luther has been one of the hottest clubs in the conference since then. All six of the teams in the field have won at least 20 games. Buena Vista University has the tourney’s top seed. Central is making its 14th Iowa Conference tournament appearance since 1994.
