The men’s track and field and golf teams at Central College made their debuts in national rankings this week. The Central men’s track and field team – whose season is still very much alive – made the NCAA Division III track and field team power rankings for the first time, as they broke into the No. 24 spot. No other Iowa Conference schools are ranked.

For the Central Men’s golf team, a strong finish to the spring season skyrocketed the Dutch from no ranking at all to No. 17 in the Golf Worl/Nike Golf Coaches’ men’s Division III golf rankings. The position in the poll reflects Central’s 17th place finish in last week’s Division III tournament in Hershey, Pennsylvania.
