A local auto dealership announced this week that it is re-investing in its community through youth baseball. Pella Motors has partnered with the Pella Little League to provide equipment, clinics, a monetary donation and a fund-raising opportunity for teams in the community. Craig Ford, owner of Pella Motors says youth baseball has long been important to him and to young people in Pella and he is excited to be part of the Chevy Youth Baseball initiative, which is helping dealerships re-invest in the communities where they are located.

“I was a little-leaguer when I was a kid, and Pella Motors has always been behind the Pella Little League program since we began as a business,” said Ford. “But this year we’ve really taken it to a whole new level and we’re really excited about the potential of this relationship.”

The fund-raising opportunity will come through the sale of raffle tickets for a Chevy Equinox or Chevy Malibu vehicle of the winners’ choice, with the winner coming from the region that includes Pella Motors. Ford adds that 100 percent of the proceeds raised through the raffle will go back to the Pella Little League. Chevrolet’s Youth Baseball initiative has been active in 20 states since 2006 and is active through July of this year.
