Opening night Saturday at the Knoxville Raceway offered a welcome back to three drivers have had not visited victory lane in some time. Steve Breazaele won the 305 race going away as he led all 12 laps to pick up his second career 305 victory. Josh Higday who did not have a consistent ride last season took the Wares/Harrison car to victory lane last night in the 360 A-Main. Higday had the initially battle Dennis Moore, Jr. and Jonathan Cornell for the lead, but was able to pull away in the final laps. Finally Don Droud Jr. took the Gil Sonner car to the checkered carpet for the first time since 2000 and him personally since 2002 as Droud led every lap of the 410 A-Main to capture the win.
