Knoxville Senior Kelsey Kingery will take her softball talents to the next level and play at Southwest Minnesota State University next year. Kingery signed a national letter of intent yesterday and will play for the Mustangs next season. Kingery says the amount of hard work she has put in since she started playing in little league is paying off. As a junior last season for the Panthers, Kingery led the team with a 320 batting average. She also led the team in hits with 39, R-B-Is with 26 and blasted five home runs. In the pitching circle she went 15-14 with 168 strikeouts to just 37 walks. Kingery will be playing for her third coach in five seasons as current William Penn Assistant Coach Steph Christner has now taken over the softball program at Knoxville.
