The Knoxville City Council met in regular session last night. At the meeting, Mayor Don Zoutte read proclamations regarding National Police and Public Works Weeks. Following a public hearing, the council also unanimously awarded a bid from Blommers Construction for the 2010 City Sidewalk Contract and set a public hearing for May 17th to consider amendments to the city code relating to livestock in the city limits.

In addition the Knoxville Stormwater Committee was at the meeting to recommend that the city approve the creation of a storm water utility in order to be able to take care of several storm water issues throughout the city. The council accepted the presentation and voted to move ahead with the process of creating such utility.
