In connection with National Hospital Week, Knoxville Hospital and Clinics held their annual service awards ceremony on Monday, May 10th. Mike Worthington, who works in maintenance at the hospital, was recognized as the 2010 KHC Hero of the Year. In all 22 employees were recognized for their years of service ranging from 5 to 25 years, and received VISA gift cards or special gifts to commemorate their milestone.

List of those recognized:

5 years of service: Tara Branson, Lab; Dorothy Brown, Health Information Management; Cindy Grimes, Nursing; Chuck Keuning, Maintenance; Heather Leshen, Nursing; Matthew Martinez, Nursing; Loretta Monteleone, Business Office; Amy Neer, Nursing; and Carol Twedt, Business Office.

10 years of service: Merle Aldridge, Maintenance and Karen Jacobs, Food Service.

15 years of service: John Gotta, Maintenance; Ken and Karen Lundy, Environmental Services; and Katie Todd, Clinic Provider.

20 years of service: Susan Edwards, Admissions; Ann Fee, Nursing; and Nancy Swim, Business Office.

25 years of service: Steve Eck, CRNA; Pat Cieslak, Admissions; Barb O’Brien, Business Office; and Betsy Schneider, Physical Therapy.

Mike Worthington, Maintenance, was recognized as the 2010 KHC Hero of the Year.
