A Pella-based bank was recently recognized with a top marketing award for banks in the state of Iowa. Marion County Bank received the Gold Award from the Iowa Bankers Association for its 2010 calendar, which commemorates the bank’s 75th anniversary and highlights Pella’s heritage.

Marion County Bank’s calendar entry was selected as the best marketing product out of a field of 87 entries from across the state, which included multi-media, print and non-print categories.

Marion County Bank’s “75th Anniversary Commemorative Calendar” also featured an emphasis on the bank’s anniversary motto: “Community Minded, Customer Focused since 1935.”
