Today we celebrate Memorial Day, a day to commemorate the men and women who have lost their lives in the United States Military. A Laying of the Wreath ceremony took place in Knoxville this morning and included a gun salute and speeches from the American Veterans and Mayor Don Zoutte. The ceremony begins at 9am at the Marion County Veterans Memorial and is open to the public. In addition, the Avenue of Flags at the Graceland Cemetery will be in place until tomorrow afternoon.
