The Pella Christian girls finished second in a triangular with Newton and Knoxville at the Pella Golf and Country Club yesterday in their final outing of the regular season. Newton showed why they were the LHC Tournament champs last week as they shot a 189 to win, Pella Christian shot a 213 and Knoxville totaled 246.

Newton swept medalist honors as Jeanna Blunt shot a 44 and Nicole George carded a 47. Pella Christian was led by Paige Zylstra with a 50, Trisha Stump shot a 53, Abbey Van Beek came in at 54 and Meredith Fopma shot a 56. Pella Christian is off until Monday when they compete in a Class 2A District meet in Albia where Coach Larry Hessing says they still have that team goal of breaking a 200 score and finishing in the top two as a team to qualify for the Regional meet May 25th.
