The PCM boys golf team continued their strong play through the latter part of the season, as they claimed first place in yesterday’s 17-team Pella Christian Invitational at Bos Landen in Pella. The Mustangs shot a scalding 301, twenty strokes better than second place.
Host Pella Christian placed third with a team score of 341, while the Pleasantville boys took sixth place with a 345.
PCM’s Nick Peters took medalist honors with a two-under-par 70, but his teammates were close behind. All four of the Mustang’s top scores were within the top six individual rounds overall. Pella Christian’s Derek Fox and Trey Hugen each shot a team-best 83; and Pleasantville was led by Jared Thill’s round of 78.
