In a late-season meet yesterday in Grinnell, it was the PCM boys golf team that continued to rip up the course and outplay the competition, as the Mustangs took first place at the Grinnell Invitational. PCM’s team sore of 296 was 16 strokes better than second-place Williamsburg, while a handful of members of the Pella Christian boys squad got in one last meet for the season; placing 6th with a 347.

PCM swept medalist honors, as Matt Jennings fired the low round of 68, while teammate Nick Peters carded a 72. In his final golf meet as an Eagle, Pella Christian’s Derek Fox went out strong, as the senior placed third individually with a 74.

The meet ended the season for Pella Christian – it’s first under Head Coach Dan Branderhorst – while the PCM boys will look to stay hot on Friday, when they compete at the District Meet in Muscatine.
