In what will be a “last hurrah” of sorts for many area golfers, the Pella Christian boys golf team will host an invitational meet today at Bos Landen. The large field will provide a tournament atmosphere for the teams in attendance and for many, including Pella Christian, will be the final meet of the year after Saturday’s Sectional tournaments. Eagles’ Head Coach Dan Branderhorst says playing well around the green and doing many of the little things well will be key in helping the Pella Christian boys to close out the season strong.

“At Bos Landen, you really have to keep the ball in play,” says Branderhorst. “There’s really no margin for error out there because it is so tight. There’s a lot of trees, lots of places to lose golf balls, and so it’s really just about being sharp and being focused.”

Pella Christian finished in fourth place in Saturday’s Sectional Tournament, which was also held at Bos Landen. Today’s Pella Christian Boys Golf Invitational begins at 2:00 p.m. in Pella.
