It took 71 minutes of gameplay for a pair of ranked girls soccer teams to break a scoreless tie, as the seventh-ranked Pella Lady Dutch struck for the first and only goal of the match to defeat No. 13 Norwalk. Pella was able to take advantage of a well-placed cross from Lindsay Bentzinger in front of the Norwalk goal, which Beth Van Wyk was able to convert the decisive goal with a header.

The Lady Dutch were fortunate to get the win, as they were out-shot 16-10 and had three fewer shots on goal than the Warriors. Pella also recorded no corner kicks, compared to four for Norwalk. Keeper Kelsey Fynaardt had four saves in the victory as the Pella girls improved to 6-5 and 5-1 in the Little Hawkeye Conference.
