Pleasantville walked away with the team title by 38 shots in the class two-A girls golf district yesterday in Leon. The meet was postponed by a day due to rain on Monday but it did not seem to slow down the Trojanns who placed three girls in the top five. While the entire team qualifies for the Regional next week, Kaitlyn Friday was overall medalist with an 88, Konnor Gordon was third shooting a 90, and Morgan Marsh was fourth with a 97. Pleasantville kept its string alive by not finishing second to anyone this season. Coach Dan Calhoun knew he had a pretty good…and he is pleasantly surprised at how dominate his girls have been. P-C-M was in the same meet but finished third shooting a 442 overall led by Rachel Phifer carding a 104. Pleasantville now gets ready for the Regional which will be played next Monday at the Lake Panorama National Golf Course in Panora.
