A Pella horse ranch is hosting an open house this weekend to introduce people to the unique service they provide. The Double D Ranch Therapeutic Riding Center provides equine-assisted activities for individuals who face physical and emotional challenges.

The ranch is hosting the event at no cost to the public, and will have games, a petting zoo, pony rides, shows and more available for all ages. There will also be food available for purchase.

The Double D Ranch a non-profit organization that serves the Pella area and surrounding communities, and is located two miles west of Pella at 781 183rd Place, in the Hunter’s Ridge development. The “Ranch Rendezvous” runs from 1:00 to 7:00 p.m. Saturday.
