The Pella Farmer’s Market will be open Thursday for the third time this season. The market features a variety of items grown or made locally, and Market Manager Vivian Rippentrop encourages area residents to leave themselves reminders as to not forget when the market is open.
“The people who love the market put it on their Thursday afternoon calendar. I can tell that they are routinely there, and they love it,” says Rippentrop. “They anticipate it and they come early to look things over before we [the market] are open to sell. It’s also true that people who don’t normally think about the market and don’t have their calendar marked can miss it totally; because they can drive home from work and not need to drive on Broadway Street.”
The Pella Farmer’s Market runs every Thursday through October 28th from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m., and is located in the First Reformed Church parking lot, on Broadway Street, just over a block south and west of the downtown square. Starting next month and running through August, the Pella Farmer’s Market will also be open Saturday mornings from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m.
