The Pella Public Works Department has begun work on a sewer repair project that will close a portion of a Pella Street for several weeks. Repairs to the sanitary sewer in the 1100 block of Marion Street will close the road to all through traffic between Jefferson and Lincoln Streets, and will also affect the Marion Street and Jefferson Street intersection. The closure of Marion Street began Monday and is expected to remain closed through June 30th, provided there are no complications during the project.
