The weather is warming up, and that means more underage drinking parties in Marion County. Sheriff Ron Goemaat says he’s seen an increase in underage parties in the past several weeks, and he says it’s important for teens to know the consequences of drinking. Goemaat says that if you are underage, first of all, don’t drink, and second of all, even if you aren’t drinking don’t be in a place where there is drinking going on or they could face fines. Goemaat also stresses that any adult that provides alcohol to minors could be held legally and civilly responsible.
